Hello there!
Serna is a very interesting subject to write about. But from time to time we are asked what tools we use to develop Serna XML editor. Now it is time to write a blog post with some true insider’s information :) .

Here you can see what operating systems we prefer:Syntext OS Chart

Have you noticed that Linux has a major piece here? It it is not a mistake. It is true — we like Linux. Because it:

  • is free;
  • is very flexible;
  • and of course, has very interesting and incentive ideas behind it and its community.

And if you take a look at this chart you will finally know what IDE/editors we prefer to use to write Serna code.

Emacs is a leader here; let me not to comment on this chart because it is a very interesting subject to start another one holy war. Stay tuned to get more information about Syntext!
